The minor in Product Design expands access to introductory design education to students across UK with a different major area of study, including aligned disciplines in engineering, business, art, communications, and the humanities. This minor, which can be completed in two or three years, gives an appreciation for the wide-ranging field of product design, its impacts, and the methods by which new products are conceived and brought to market.
The minor includes courses in historical and contemporary product design practice, basic design skills and methods, and a hands-on, project-based, collaborative studio experience.
