Statistics Minor

The minor in Statistics is aimed specifically at social and life science students, as well as students in the traditional mathematical sciences. A minimum of 15 hours of course work is required to complete the minor, as follows:

Complete one of the following:

STA 296 - Statistical Methods and Motivations 3 Credit Hours
STA 321 - Basic Statistical Theory I 3 Credit Hours
STA 525 - Introductory Statistical Inference 3 Credit Hours

Complete one of the following:

STA 281 - Probability and Statistics Using Interactive Computer Techniques 3 Credit Hours
STA 320 - Introductory Probability 3 Credit Hours
STA 524 - Probability 3 Credit Hours

plus

STA 570 - Basic Statistical Analysis 3 Credit Hours
Complete one additional STA course approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies Credit(s): 3-4
Complete one course from the student’s area approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies Credit(s): 3-4
