Agricultural Economics Minor


The Agricultural Economics minor equips students with the economic and business skills focused on the agricultural sector, enhancing career opportunities by providing analytical tools, market insight, and decision-making skills essential for roles in agribusiness, policy, and resource management. The minor complements majors such as Agricultural Education and Advocacy, Animal Sciences, Community and Leadership Development, Equine Science and Management, Horticultural Science, Natural Resources and Environmental Science, and Sustainable Agriculture and Community Food Systems. With courses in management, marketing, and policy, students gain insight into the economic forces shaping food systems. The flexible structure allows for customization.

Earn 9 additional credits selected from any agricultural economics courses at the 300 level or higher, excluding AEC 301  and AEC 399  and including no more than one of the following: AEC 324 , AEC 325 , and AEC 326 .
