NUR 463 - Nursing Practice Capstone for the RN-BSN Track [3 Credit Hours]
This is a capstone graduation course designed for RN-BSN students working toward completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This course integrates key concepts of patient safety, quality care, legal and ethical nursing practice, interprofessional collaboration, healthcare informatics, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Students will analyze and apply quality care and patient safety principles, evaluate healthcare technologies, and integrate evidence-based practice in clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership and management skills to promote safe, high- quality patient care while fostering effective communication and teamwork across disciplines. By synthesizing knowledge gained throughout the RN to BSN program, students will demonstrate their ability to lead and advocate excellence in nursing practice.
Prereq: Admittance to the College of Nursing RN to BSN track. Successful completion of all other courses in the RN-BSN curriculum.
