A beginning course in the fundamentals of playing and teaching violin, viola, cello and string bass. May be repeated to a maximum of two credits.

Prereq:For music majors; others by permission of instructor. For non-string majors who take this course for two semesters, it must be taken sequentially beginning in the fall semester.
