History and overview of mine health and safety; effective health and safety management systems; building a health and safety culture; hazard anticipation and identification, risk management and hazard control; Federal processes for health and safety system management; mine safety and health resources; mine laws, including safety regulations and interpretations for mining engineers and supervisors; and contemporary issues in mine safety.
Prereq: EGR 101 or EGR 215, MNG 201.
