PPS 971 - PHARMACY PRACTICE AND HEALTHCARE IN JAPAN College of Pharmacy

This course will allow pharmacy students to explore the pharmacy and healthcare systems of Japan. Students will learn how Japanese history and culture influence healthcare today through lectures and visits to cultural sites and museums. Discussions about current healthcare systems will be amplified by visits to practice sites, such as hospitals and community pharmacies. Current healthcare systems of Japan and the USA will be compared and contrasted. Students will have the opportunity to develop their thoughts about the future of American healthcare through discussion and debate.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: Admission to College of Pharmacy.
