The Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition provides a foundational knowledge of how diet and physical activity play a role in improving and preventing disease. This degree program offers appropriate preparation for further study in nutritional sciences and health-related sciences, particularly public health, pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, physician assistant school, optometry, and nutrition research. Students will study the biological and physical sciences and learn how to apply them to the interactions between nutrition and human health.
Each student must complete the following:
- Complete UK Core requirements.
- Complete 120 credit hours with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0.
- Complete the required curriculum in the major program.
