Interdisciplinary Arts Minor

The Interdisciplinary Arts Minor allows students to design their own minor with course work across at least two disciplines in the College of Fine Arts. The minor is intended to deepen an appreciation for and encourage a lifelong engagement in the arts.

To earn an Interdisciplinary Arts minor, students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours of course work arranged as follows:

  1. 6 credit hours of 100-level courses in a minimum of two College of Fine Arts disciplines (AAD, A-E, A-H, A-S, ART, FA, MUC, MUP, MUS, TA or TAD); and
  2. 6 credit hours of 200-level or above courses in a minimum of two College of Fine Arts disciplines (AAD, A-E, AH, A-S, ART, FA, MUC, MUP, MUS, TA or TAD); and
  3. 6 credit hours of College of Fine Arts elective courses at any level.

Students pursuing a major within the College of Fine Arts must select courses outside of their major discipline.

Only three credit hours from courses taken to fulfill a requirement in another major or minor can be used to meet the requirements of the Interdisciplinary Arts minor.
