Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate

The 21-credit hour Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis is designed to meet the course work requirements for students that wish to pursue the Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) . To obtain a BCBA, there are 4 criteria that must be met including a master’s degree, course work covering the necessary 315 content hours, 2000 field experience hours, and passing the national board exam. This certificate will meet the course work requirement of the certification.
Admission
- Holds a bachelor or masters degree in a related field (e.g., education, psychology). If not, need prerequisite of EDS 516 (or equivalent from another institution)
- 3.0 undergraduate GPA or 3.25 graduate GPA
- One letter of recommendation speaking to their experience working with children or youth
- Updated CV
- Scholarly writing sample (e.g., literature review, research article)
- Personal statement describing previous experiences that led to this desire to obtain ABA certificate
