The study of science as a way of reasoning and knowing, as it is influenced by the social, political, and gender contexts of scientists; the exploration of the philosophical foundations of the nursing discipline and its science and a historical evaluation of significant contributions to nursing science.

Prerequisite(s):
Prereq: Enrollment in Doctoral Program in Nursing or consent of instructor.
