PPS 986 - INTRODUCTION TO ACADEMIC PHARMACY

College of Pharmacy

Credits: 2

Students will learn about basic elements of a career in academia, including faculty appointments and professional program accreditation. Students will also learn the fundamentals of teaching in higher education, including distance learning, lesson planning, and student engagement. This course will culminate with a final presentation, including a lesson plan, on a pharmacy topic of the student’s choice.

Prerequisite(s):
Prereq: Admission to UK College of Pharmacy third academic year (PY3) and/or permission of instructor.
