ENT 614 - TECHNIQUES IN BEHAVIORAL ECOLOGY AND COMPARATIVE NEUROBIOLOGY College of Ag, Food and Environment

This course provides students with instruction and experience in the experimental research techniques employed in the study of behavioral ecology and comparative neurobiology with emphasis on the integration of these approaches for understanding animal behavior. Each student will carry out three small research projects in the laboratories of three of the participating faculty. Techniques to be covered include: molecular and genetic methods, neuroanatomical and neurophysiological techniques, and field and laboratory methods for quantifying behavior and studying effects of social and environmental influences on behavior.
