EDP 685 - ISSUES AND TECHNIQUES IN THE COUNSELING OF WOMEN

The course is designed to improve students’ knowledge of the special counseling needs of women and to facilitate students’ development of highly skilled techniques for counseling with women. Skill and knowledge areas include such topics as rape, spouse abuse, mastectomy, career, assertiveness, single parenting, and sex discrimination.

Prerequisite(s):
Prereq: EDP 652  and EDP 661  (both with a grade of ‘B’ or better) or corequisite EDP 604  or consent of instructor.
