MUS 663 - Dalcroze Approach II

[3 Credit Hours] - Repeatable to a maximum of 6

This course is especially designed for music teachers who wish to acquire knowledge and skills in Dalcroze pedagogy and musicianship. There are two parts of this course: on-site participation and a Blackboard component. Students will be immersed in the principal subjects of the Dalcroze approach: eurhythmics, solfÃ¨ge, and improvisation. the on-site session provides creative experiences of hands-on activities and the Blackboard component covers assignments related to the philosophy, history, composition, lesson designs, and discussion of the Dalcroze approach in music education.

Prereq: Successful completion of MUS 662 or equivalent and permission by instructor.
