CJ 535 - FORENSIC INTERVIEWING College of Social Work

This course examines interdisciplinary practices in preparing students for the requisite knowledge and skill essential in interviewing for the purposes of gathering information for use in criminal justice settings or with system involved youth and adults. Forensic interviewing encompasses relationship building, ethical practices, documentation, and awareness of suggestibility implications. Recognition of the cultural context in working with children or adults is emphasized as is research related to bias and discrimination.
