SOC 539 - ADVANCED TOPICS IN CRIME, LAW AND DEVIANCE (SUBTITLE REQUIRED College of Arts and Sciences

A sociological study of a special topic central to the scientific study of crime, law or deviance. Topics may include deviant subcultures; substance use; social control of crime; sociology of law; and philosophies of punishment. May be repeated to a maximum of six credits under different subtitles.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: Graduate student status; undergraduates with consent of instructor only. Repeatable up to 6 credit hours.
