NUR948 - CLINICAL PROBLEMS IN ACUTE CARE ACROSS THE ADULT GERO LIFE SPAN IN ADVANCE PRACTICE NURSING College of Nursing

This course provides opportunity for application of evidence-based interventions for clinical problems encountered in the acute care setting clinical practice of advanced nursing practice. Application of the scope and standards of specialty practice, application of evidence- based practices, and development of techniques for nursing interventions are emphasized. This course prepares the student to conduct comprehensive, holistic wellness/illness assessments, obtain data necessary to formulate differential diagnoses/plans of care and evaluate outcomes using advanced clinical judgment to diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient care problems in the acute care setting.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: NUR 945, or consent of instructor. Co-req: NUR 946. Approved for Distance Learning.
