Family Financial Therapy Certificate

The target audience for the Family Sciences Graduate Certificates includes (a) graduate students who are currently enrolled in an academic program specific to the mental health field (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology, professional counseling, clinical social work, psychiatry, or couple and family therapy) and would like additional training specific to the practice of family financial therapy, and (b) professionals who are already licensed in a mental health profession and would like to gain specialized training. If you do not meet these qualifications, please consider the Couple and Family Therapy Master’s program in the Department of Family Sciences, through which Family Financial Therapy and Play Therapy certificates can be earned.
Graduate Certificate offered for CFT emphasis students, mental health professionals or students working towards a Master’s or Ph.D. in a mental health specialization:

- FAM 686 : Theory and Methods in Couple and Family Therapy
- FAM 668 : Family Finance and Economics
- FAM 746 : Family Financial Therapy

- FAM 678 : Family Processes
- FAM 652 : Readings in Family Theory and Research
- FAM 654 : The Life Course Perspective on Families and Individuals
- FAM 740 : Couple and Sex Therapy
