International Business Minor

NOTE: Students with a Gatton major must take at least 6 hours in the minor that do not count toward their Gatton major requirements.

Minor Residency Requirement

At least one-half of the upper-division credit hours in the Minor Requirements must have been completed at the University of Kentucky or through an approved Education Abroad program through the University of Kentucky or other pre-approved international partner.

Complete 15 hours of course work, including:

MGT 309 - INTRODUCTION TO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS Credit(s): 3
ECO 370 - THE GLOBAL ECONOMY Credit(s): 3
OR
AEC 471 - INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS Credit(s): 3 *
OR
ECO 471 - INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS Credit(s): 3 *
MKT 435 - INTERNATIONAL MARKETING Credit(s): 3
plus two of the following: 1) FIN 423 - INTERNATIONAL FINANCE **; 2) a UK Core Global Citizenship course at the 200 level and above that is not used to satisfy UK Core requirements; 3) at least 3 credit hours earned through an education abroad experience; or 4) 6 hours of college-level foreign language
Students must take at least 9 hours of upper-division classes from the University of Kentucky or through an approved Education Abroad program through the University of Kentucky or other pre-approved international partner (50 percent of the upper-division requirement for a minor).
