Pre-Professional Option

Option A - Pre-Professional

The Pre-Professional Option prepares students for applying to professional schools (such as veterinary, medical, dental, or pharmacy), pursuing advanced graduate degrees in animal science related disciplines, and seeking careers in research or technical services related to animal production. Students fulfilling the Major Requirements are eligible for the Pre-Professional Option by taking certain Specialty Support Courses (see below). This Option emphasizes biology, chemistry, and physics. Students work with their primary and pre-professional advisors to create plans of study that include courses that will satisfy specific requirements of the professional or graduate schools to which students will be applying.
