Substance Use Disorders Certificate

The Substance Use Disorders certificate prepares students to work with individuals, families, agencies and communities related to substance misuse. The certificate is designed to help students understand the etiology, neuroscience and comorbidity of substance use disorder. Further, the SUD certificate will identify strategies of intervention including evidence informed theories, self-help programs, medication assisted treatment, etc. This certificate is specifically designed to help develop practitioners who are dedicated to improving the lives of those who experience substance use disorder and the families and communities who support them.
