PT 801 - ANATOMICAL FOUNDATIONS IN REHABILITATION SCIENCE College of Health Sciences

Content will include an introduction to histology, various types of tissue, genetics/epigenetics, foundational anatomical and musculoskeletal principles, injury and healing, and basic foundational examples of rehabilitative management. We will highlight the properties of specific cells in the human body and their organization into tissues as related to the practice of physical therapy. Cell and tissue features will be emphasized by reference to structural adaptations and injury- related events.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: Admission to the Physical Therapy professional program or consent of the instructor. Approved for Distance Learning.
