KHP 600 - EXERCISE STRESS TESTING AND PRESCRIPTION

Knowledge required for the administration of an exercise stress test with implications for writing an exercise prescription. Content covers healthy individuals as well as those with various health problems such as heart disease, hypertension, mental illness and diabetes. Course implements the Guidelines of the American College of Sportsmedicine in preparing a specialist in exercise stress testing. Lecture, two hours; laboratory, two hours per week.
