EDP 605 - INTRODUCTION TO COUNSELING: TECHNIQUES I College of Education

A survey of counseling psychology, philosophy, procedures and practices. Consideration of the roles of the counselor in relation to counseling services in the community and educational settings. In-depth training in initial counseling skills, interviewing (listening) and relationship building skills.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: Acceptance to the graduate program in counseling psychology with the following major codes: RECO, EGCO, CPEC, ECPY, ECPC, CNPS, ESPP, ESPY, ECPP, or consent of instructor via permit. Approved for Distance Learning.
