This course provides an overview of information systems and their use in healthcare organizations. Topics include the history of IT use, recent developments, continuing challenges and emerging opportunities. The role of the healthcare manager in information system planning, selection and implementation is stressed.
Prerequisite(s): Prereq: Enrollment in a College of Public Health degree program or permission of instructor.
